Armchair Xekeo

Discover the welcoming design of Xekeo (Sekeo), captivating with its softness, combination of selected materials and hand tailoring expertise. Exploring the relationship between crafts and new visuals, we delved into Southeast Asia's noble past by falling in love with a scenic shot of a Vietnamese woman in traditional costume and sabots stepping off an ornate rickshaw. This distinctive duo inspired a range of upholstered furniture with a distinctive name: Xe kéo means two-wheeled rickshaw in Vietnamese.

The harmonious appearance of the collection attracts attention with the thickness of the cushions placed on a low wooden support, forming a balanced volume that provides maximum comfort. It is finished with genuine leather, dense textiles and lacquered wooden elements. In an homage to the rickshaw, the sinuous headrest merges with the wide backrest but has its own cushion, as if stylising the contour of the folding roof. And the walls of the armchair, lowered to the base, mimic a pair of wheels, turning into smooth armrests.
