Wooden chair Lymmy
Lymmy is a modern wooden chair inspired by picturesque snowy landscapes. It features monolithic tactile details that subtly evoke the warmth of a serene northern scenery, instilling a sense of infinite harmony. Lymmy stands out with its striking splayed proportions, supported by three wide legs. This concept is reflected in its name, derived from a Karelian dialect word meaning "tree trunk bifurcation." The frame is crafted from rounded slats with impeccable artisanal precision. The chair's smooth contours accentuate the organic qualities of the materials, creating a timeless design.
The rounded seat incorporates advanced filling technology, providing a deep and comfortable sitting experience. The curved lines of the ergonomic backrest seamlessly transition into the armrests. These elements are balanced with distinctive legs, forming a sculptural unity. The realization of such a pure minimalist design required the invention of an original method for securing the structure. Lymmy’s understated appearance is brought to life in natural wood and pastel tones.

During the development of this chair, we explored the work of Dutch interior designer J.A. van Tienhoven. Continuing the functional approach of modernists to furniture design, we preserved the charm of mid-century style while creating a unique silhouette with contemporary aesthetics. Paying homage to the craftsmanship of the last Dutch ocean liner, Rotterdam V (1959), we combined historical reverence with modern design sensibilities.
